Bringing Landmarks to Life: Back Rebecca's Project
Hey there, friend!
I am Rebecca Clark Andrino, a multifaceted artist whose creative journey began in my teenage years with a Pentax 35mm camera. With an innovative spirit, I got into photography, developing my own images in a darkroom-a formative experience that laid the foundation for my lifelong passion for visual storytelling.
I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Theater from Syracuse University. I used this academic background to launch my career in entertainment. For over two decades, I worked as an actress in Los Angeles, booking roles across TV, voice-over, and stand-up. In my later work as a photographer, I was able to capture the essence of my subjects with an innate understanding of performance and expression because I could embody characters and convey emotions on stage.
As I transitioned from acting to photography, my work gained recognition, including exhibits at the Tubac Center for the Arts, Scottsdale Civic Center, Covet Gallery, and The Decode Gallery. Over six fashion magazines have featured my work, including Ikon Magazine, Never Magazine, Marika Magazine, Omega Fashion Magazine, Off Town Magazine, and Artistonish Magazine. My work has also been featured in Corbeaux Magazine, further solidifying my reputation as a contemporary photographer.
I love working with commercial clients, where I use my creative expertise to craft memorable imagery that resonates with audiences. Also, I teach workshops to nurture the next generation of photographers, sharing my knowledge and experience with aspiring artists.
I live in Tucson, Arizona, where the rich desert landscape and vibrant culture inspire me. The beauty of the Sonoran Desert fuels my artistic endeavors, and I embrace it with my family. As an artist and educator, I'm always exploring innovative ways to engage with the world, whether through a camera or on stage. Inspiring others to see the extraordinary in the ordinary is what keeps me a vital force in the arts community.
A book is the next step in my artistic career! Visit the most iconic landmarks across the 50 states with this book. This book isn't just about landmarks, but also about the people behind them. My artistic goal is to capture candid moments of people in beautiful places. It's the raw connection of humanness that binds us. There's no doubt this is a big project that will take time, dedication, sacrifice, and funding to get started. Funding would be dedicated to travel costs and time spent away from RC Photo Studio, located in downtown Tucson. The next step would be to find a literary agent and hopefully a publishing deal after the images have been taken and the story documented.
